The Neue Schule Tranz Angled Lozenge Balding Running Cheek Gag is a good choice for horses which are heavy on the forehand or are inclined to snatch and pull the rider out of the saddle. The loose ring gives the bit more flexibility which discourages the horse from leaning, which may happen with a fixed cheek. Two rein options for the rider gives the opportunity to apply varying degrees of control; being able to differentiate between the snaffle rein and the running cheek rein which applies poll pressure. The poll pressure works to maximise on control and give lift from the shoulder.
This strong bit is fantastic for use during faster work such as jumping/cross country but should only be employed by knowledgeable riders as misuse can cause oral damage.
