The Neue Schule Aachen Weymouth is an ergonomically designed, very kind Weymouth. The 45° forward tilt lifts the mouthpiece off the bars of the mouth, making it much more gentle in action than a regular Weymouth. The gentle slope of the mouthpiece forms a wide, low bridge over the tongue which takes pressure away from the sensitive outer edges and distributes pressure far more evenly across the tongue.
It's particularly beneficial for horses that are inclined to work above the bit or for those that are tense, short in the neck or working behind the vertical - it encourages lowering of the head and lengthening through the neck, helping the horse to offer up a softer and more correct outline.
The mouthpiece is a continual oval 16mm in diameter which occupies minimal room between the tongue and the upper palate, avoiding any pressure to sensitive areas to help the horse to become more consistent in the contact; this oval profile mouthpiece offers an extremely good weight bearing surface in the mouth.
Supplied with a polished stainless steel curb chain.
